PSE celebrated cleaning garbage in communities event for 3 days from 28th August 2012 to 30th August 2012. All staffs of PSE had to join this event to clean communities which were set already for each group. All staffs were divided into 15 Groups. Group 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 started on 28th, group 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 started on 29th, and group 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 started on 30th. Each group had different community to clean.
There are main 3 duties for each member of group. First picking up garbage, second explain the elder in community about advantages of study, and disadvantages of giving up study, and the last visiting new dump site and scavengers' residences which are near dump site. We just looked at dump site from distance because we were not allowed to climb up on it.
Schedule
- 8:00-8:30 am: Arrival of staff in field work.
- 8:30-8:45 am: Meeting to inform the main purpose of visit.
- 8:45- 9:45 am: Starting to refill the holes by piece of stone.
- 9:45-10:00 am: Break.
- 10:00- 10:40 am: Arrival of staff at new dumpsite.
- 10:40- 11:10 am: Visit families at new dumpsite.
- 11:10-12:00 am: Departure to PSE's center.
